We got back from Mexico City (which was amaaaaazing) a few days ago, and I’ve been feeling a little run down since. While I love exploring new places, traveling definitely takes a lot out of me. I’ve been tired and just meh this week. A little anxious, too – last night I dreamed that spiders had set up a small colony in our house. My head is in a weird place.
When I feel this way, first I try to remember that everything is temporary and it will eventually pass. Second, I try to be gentle and extra caring with myself. The last thing I want to do is plan meals or look at recipes, but I know I need to eat nourishing food. I also need something simple. So lately, I’ve been all about the Bowls. I recently finished reading Courtney Carver’s new book, Soulful Simplicity. Her blog, Be More with Less, has been a huge inspiration to me over the past few years, and her work has helped me simplify my own life in a lot of ways.
